PLASTICS INITIATIVE
 
The Southwest Corner Plastics Initiative is helping local plastics manufacturers maintain, strengthen and expand their competitive advantage. The project is being led by the Southwest Corner Workforce Investment Board and is part of a statewide initiative funded by the US Department of Labor and directed by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry

The goals of the Southwest Corner Plastics Initiative are to:

Support the development of applied technologies that improve productivity and quality;
 
Increase the pace of product innovation and market expansion; and
 
Develop a pipeline for a highly skilled future workforce.

Other industry partnerships and initiatives: Transportation and Logistics, Building and Construction Trades, Mining, Business and Homeland Security
