Southwest Training Services, Inc. is part of a regional effort to promote science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) through an annual conference and other activities targeting educators, workforce and economic development professionals, and students.


The Southwest Corner Workforce Investment Area’s Regional Career Education Partnership Advisory Committee recently sponsored a STEM logo contest.

 
     
 
     
 

2010 REGIONAL STEM CONFERENCE

 
The Southwest Corner 2010 Regional STEM Conference was held on February 3, 2010 at Penn State-Beaver. Job Training for Beaver County, Inc. and Southwest Training Services, Inc., in collaboration with Penn State Beaver, hosted the event with over 190 educators, workforce and economic development professionals, and students in attendance. The overall focus of the conference was “Preparing Pennsylvania’s Youth to be Globally Competitive Learners and Workers in the 21st Century.”
